Electronic Check Representment (RCK)

NSF checks and check recovery fees now can be debited directly from the check writer's account. For the Merchant, this means recovering more money in less time—at no cost!

The National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) made a rule change in September 1998 allowing NSF checks to be recovered electronically. This new procedure is referred to as RCK.

With RCK, CheckBack quickly converts and processes NSF checks as electronic transactions. Using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network, CheckBack debits your customer's account for the face amount of the returned check and a recovery fee. If the funds are not recovered on the first attempt, CheckBack monitors the account and strategically times a second attempt within 30 days. Recovered funds are transferred to your bank account within 7- to 10-days of recovery.
